Age: 16 Description: long violet hair, green eyes, always wears a ribbon in some fashion Background: Kaiya's mother died while she was just a child, and she grew up very close with her father. After having a bad break-up with a boyfriend she became very independent and spent most of her time alone or with friends, kindly turning down any offer of romance thereafter. Personality: Kaiya is extremely independent and refrains from putting herself in uncomfortable situations. She speaks her mind, but tries to avoid causing people aggravation with what she says. Shakir
Age: 17 Description: Spiky blond hair, blue eyes Background: Shakir first appears in the story as a transfer student to Kaiya's school- although his records seem to be missing. He lives at a foster home, taking care of the other children with a distant attachment, acting like an older brother toward them. Shakir is shown to have an odd connection with Dream Keeper Mokomis. Personality: Shakir is a loner at school, ignoring most of the other students and pushes away anyone who would try to be his friend. His efforts to get close to Kaiya seem to be driven by some other motive then good intentions, and while he desperately tries to gain her trust, he fails to put any trust in her.
