Summary

Soon after the destruction of Earth, humanity is forced to find a new home for the select survivors of their wrecked planet. They discover Gaia, a planet engulfed in the first survivable atmosphere that the space explorers found. Directly after the landing Forefai, the only child and daughter of the fifth commander of the space exploration team, wandered off into the surrounding environment. As she explored Forefai encountered Gaia and Kato, two inhabitants of the newly found planet.

Along with the two young children the colonist realize other life, creatures of both horrifying and promising natures, lived on their new home. Unable to leave the planet in search of new land they settled and built forts around their landing sites. Communication between the earthlings had been lost during the arrive, the humans lived in the solitude of their own towns powerless to contact those of the other shuttles.

After the fated meeting ten years past. Having been taken in by the researchers at the landing site, Gaia and Kato were raised with Forefai, becoming fast friends and playmates throughout the years. When the village they lived at was destroyed they set off to travel the rest of their world, hoping to find other surviving settlers.

Note

Final Beginning is the first series in my collection of Gaian Tales. There is a sequel to this story, Eternal Destiny, that Gaia and Kato both reappear in. To avoid making an entire new page just for Eternal Destiny, there will be some characters from that added onto the Final Beginning character page.
